How to Join BITS Pilani's Higher Degree Programmes

Admission to BITS Pilani's Higher Degree programmes is offered through three pathways.

Through GATE

Through GATE

Interested and eligible candidates can apply to all the Higher Degree Programmes (except M.E. Software Systems) based on GATE (for M.E.)/ GPAT (for M. Pharm.) score.

Through BITSHD

Through BITSHD Test

Interested and eligible candidates can apply to all the Higher Degree Programmes based on the marks obtained in the computer based BITS Higher Degree conducted by BITS.

Both GATE and BITSHD

Both GATE and BITSHD

Consideration for admission based on both GATE/GPAT scores and marks obtained in the BITS HD Test.

Eligibility and Duration

1. A minimum of 60% for M.E. / M.Pharm in the qualifying degree examination

2. Admission to all M.E. (except Software systems) and M.Pharm. programmes will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the BITS HD admission test or based on GATE/GPAT score

3. Admissions to the M.E. Software Systems program will be made only through the BITS HD Test.

4. Normally four semesters (for M.E. / M.Pharm.)
